haiku from SiSyphus

My sister (who I like to call SiSyphus because well she's my sis and because I dig the myth) shared with me some of her poetry and now I'm sharing it with you.

  1. These are great. I especially liked the first. Really spoke to me and my inner rain.

  2. Yes, I liked the first. Well done to your sister. I think haiku is a really good poetic form, it is just so concise.

  4. Love the idea of Haiku and this is really good.
Here in South West Scotland near the small town of Creetown, a set of standing granite stones known as
The Whinnie Face has become an attraction for visitors.
Local schoolchildren along with poet Lucy Burnett came up with Haiku for inscription on the stones. Here's two verses from the stones.

    animals come out
    from hibernation
    until grass sways
    with the slow wind

    light between larch trees
    the overlapping echoes
    of children's voices
